my new favorite place in DC

the warehouse cafe and nextdoor theatre (and other affiliate endeavors of the things on 7th street between K and L) are by far the most interesting and alive places to be in dc. they have exhibits and performances and their amps sit precariously on plastic dairy crates of non-uniform color. i went there today and saw some new genre stuff that was overall pretty kickass and that should be enough to make anyone happy to be alive, or at least remember that acts of creation are the most productive of mankind and should not be taken lightly even when their efforts to communicate properly fail. i should like to think that 'art' is passé and we replace them with acts and products of creation. this is more congruous to our current ways and if it is and if it isnt well anyway im parsing words, and that isnt an act of creation but estranged reduplication. there's just not as much to be said for that, even thought its result is sometimes valid.
